Special Olympics Minnesota is currently working on developing "Champion Schools" throughout the state of Minnesota. Champion Schools have three components; Youth Leadership and Advocacy, Unified Sports, and Whole School Engagement. Champion Schools can be formed at any level Pre-K through College. Technology for Adapted Physical Educators: From Low to High Tech
Research shows that technology-aided instruction is an evidence-based teaching strategy for children with disabilities (NPDC, 2015). This presentation will provide adapted physical educators with examples of how technology can support instructional. Evaluation of applications, assistive devices, websites, and gadgets to support student instruction and parent communication will be shared.
